Ina-Garten

Ina Garten has been a popular American writer of cook books for many decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa, which started in 2002. Ina began her career by working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. She initially adored the intellectual rigors of her job, but soon began to lose the interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. The store was very successful for 18 years, until she made the decision to close it. After that, she started her first cookbook. Then, a number of cookbooks were published, and she also wrote magazine columns. Another success was her Food Network Television show. Her products range from appliances for kitchens to ingredient as well as storage containers. Ina never went to a cookery school nor worked in a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her straightforward method of cooking, and her effortless take on entertainment. Her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
