Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. Fearing stress, her parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before she turned age 18. Perry claims she never wanted to become an actor during high school, but she decided to begin playing as a way to make friends during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry left for New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness brought Perry home to California, where theater jobs were readily available. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The character was picked through an audition, even the fact that she had a deep connection with it.
